Every body also requires a diet that is unique only to you. So what if you are in a situation wherein your diet is not doing you any good?  Here are some tips on how to fix your overall diet.

Forget about calories

Are you the type who is counting calories? What you have to remember is that this may not be the perfect strategy for your body. Different bodies will require different foods, and the efficiency through which your body burns those calories will depend on the individual, the environment and the emotional state you are in. This may also include difference in portions and frequency of when you eat. First thing that you have to do is to forget about counting calories, and start listening to your own body’s needs.

Connect with your intuition

Often times, people seek answers from the outside environment. People invest in supplements and even find their way towards crazy regimens just to meet their goal. However, what you have to realize is that the answer can be found in you the entire time.

What exactly is intuition? Intuition is that same instinct that tells a mother that her child needs her. So how exactly does it help you eat the right food? Intuition helps give you an idea on what to eat, when to eat and even how much to eat. It can even tell you what you are going to feel after eating a particular food.

Meditate

Stress can always get in the way of having a healthy eating habit. Typically, your diet goes out the window once you are already stressed. And do you ever wonder why this is the case? Stress can affect the way you talk, feel and behave towards yourself.

One of the best ways on how to fix your overall eating habits is by meditating. A 15 minute meditation a day could help give you clarity and be able to listen to your body better. According to some experts, a 15 minute meditation can even be equivalent to a 4 hour sleep.

Exercise

The body was meant to perform physical activities. What does it have to do with having the right diet for you? Exercise or any amount of physical activity can help give your dose of endorphins, the body’s happy hormones. This way, you can easily listen to your body.

Now, if you feel that you are too tired after your workout, might as well try to mellow things down. Perhaps, you need to slow down a bit. The suggested amount of workout differs from one person to the next. In fact, you can start with a 30 minute workout which can be done 2-3 times a week. Does it have to be complicated? This shouldn’t be the case. It can be as easy as walking your dog or taking the stairs instead of using the escalators.
